Combining Operations
Since safety is our top priority, with high quality results immediately next in line to that, combining operations together is good only if several factors are in place. All the operations need be of small enough size and impact on the body to allow them to be done in a reasonable length of anesthesia time by an energetic surgeon and with tolerable post-operative effects. The totality of all this must be kept in mind: analgesic requirements, infection potential, fluid shifts, time allowed off work, need for home nursing help, operative sites needing dressing changes, combined dollar cost, etc.To mix breast augmentation and a limited liposuction is reasonable. To mix a facelift and eyelid lift is also. These operations meet the criteria for the standards discussed above.
To have a major tummy tuck and a major accompanying liposuction is a big undertaking and is best done separately from other big procedures. A minor accompanying liposuction is acceptable in that situation. An accompanying breast lift (skin tightening without implant placement) would be a reasonable adjunctive procedure in that situation.
To mix a major nose correction and a full facelift is also a big undertaking and is also best done separately.

So too, are we mutually touched by what happens to one another. Those distant from us geographically and/or culturally benefit from what we do right here at home. This is how we see it.
